Miray Seward, Ph.D.
Research Scientist
As a research scientist, Miray conducts applied mixed methods research, develops research-based tools and supports for youth-serving organizations, builds new community partnerships, and secures grant funding for projects. Miray received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology- Applied Science from the University of Virginia, and her B.A. in Psychology and Human Development from Duke University. Miray also brings her experience as a former lab manager at Duke University, and project manager at The University of Virginia to Search Institute. As an applied mixed methods researcher, Miray takes a community based approach to research that values and centers lived experience. Currently she is working alongside multiple youth-serving organizations to help them become relationship-rich organizations, and incorporate research-based practices and tools into their daily practice. As a former NCAA Division I athlete, Miray is also deeply committed to supporting the positive development of athletes through holistic identity development.
