*The Public Sector Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) was established by Congress in 2007 to encourage individuals to work in public service by forgiving the remaining student loan balance of their federal Direct Loans after they have made 120 qualifying payments while employed by a qualifying employer. The Summer Scholars Fellowship is an invaluable collaboration between Search Institute and new and emerging scholars in the field of positive youth development. The participating scholars have the opportunity to support active Search Institute projects while providing new approaches, insights and perspectives that are vital to the mission of ensuring that all young people thrive.
