Karen Kingsley

Senior Director of Youth & Family Services at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, Member at Large

Karen Kingsley has served as the Senior Director of Youth & Family Services at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota since 2018. In that capacity, she oversees a $19 million portfolio of statewide programming that annually serves more than 5,000 youth who have experienced homelessness, are aging out of foster care, are involved in the juvenile justice system, or who have experienced exploitation. Karen has a background in public policy advocacy, systems change, and service delivery dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children, youth, and families. Her subject matter expertise includes youth development, early childhood education, workforce development, and affordable housing issues. Previously, she led public policy efforts at Youthprise and Ready4K. Karen received a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Duke University.
