Booster: Expand Possibilities
Expanding possibilities is the Developmental Relationships element that youth experience least often, but it’s incredibly important. By expanding possibilities you can support young people in cultivating social capital, a web of relationships to help them reach their life and career goals.
By finding new ways to connect young people to new people, experiences and resources, they can begin to imagine possible futures, discover new interests, and build connections that enable them to thrive.
"“Relationships that expand possibilities expose young people to new ideas, experiences, and places, introducing them to people who can help them explore. Indeed, a broad base of trusting relationships expands the roles young people can envision playing, and the available resources.”"
