Personalized Learning Plan
Craft a personalized plan with your student to support their learning objectives and individual goals.
Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs) are co-constructed documents that identify what a student will learn and be able to do by a particular period of time, how the student will develop these competencies, and how the student will demonstrate them. Because the state of Vermont authorized PLPs for all secondary school students under Act 77, we draw heavily on the state’s documents here. The Vermont Agency of Education argues that personalized learning can “deepen student learning by incorporating each student’s interests, strengths and needs – including student voice and choice in what, how, when and where they learn – to achieve the goals of active engagement, academic success, and preparation for post-secondary opportunities.”
