We Meet Them Where They Are
A 5-minute video introducing five Search Institute partners working in marginalized communities who found that developmental relationships advance goals for equity, diversity, and inclusion.
We Meet Them Where They Are: Nurturing Developmental Relationships with Each and Every Young Person introduces the work of five Search Institute partners working in communities that have been marginalized: Communities in Schools, Campfire, City Year, Generation Citizen, and National Center for Families Learning.
These partners found the developmental relationships framework and its underlying principles to be valuable resources for advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion. They illustrate the principles of:
- Really seeing each young person.
- Nurturing intentional relationships.
- Start with yourself, and work toward a culture of belonging for all young people.
