David Torres, Ph.D., is a growth strategist and leader who has dedicated his career to helping impact-driven organizations scale with both integrity and sustainability. Drawing on deep expertise in go-to-market strategy and recurring revenue design, he has advised and led mission-focused ventures in building repeatable growth models that align market opportunity with measurable impact. His work sits at the intersection of strategy and systems design—ensuring that organizations have the structures, tools and data they need to grow without compromising their core mission or values.

As Search Institute’s Chief Growth Officer, David brings this systems-level perspective to the challenge of strengthening relational ecosystems for youth. Building on Search Institute’s long history as a research-to-practice leader, he is focused on creating the organizational conditions and operating models that allow developmental science to move from theory into everyday practice at scale. In this role, David will help ensure that our research becomes the “floor, not the ceiling” for positive youth development—expanding our reach, deepening our partnerships, and anchoring growth in what matters most: human connection and relationships that help all young people thrive.
