Every young person has a spark, a hidden flame that taps into their true talents, skills, passions, and dreams. Igniting Sparks helps educators, parents, mentors, youth workers, and community members learn our research-based approach to helping youth discover their sparks and become their best selves.
This professional learning workshop helps educators, parents, mentors, youth workers, and community members learn Search Institute’s research-based approach to helping youth discover their sparks — their true talents, skills, passions, and dreams. Participants will learn to tap into young people’s sparks and to engage them to cultivate and express their sparks. Participants will develop strategies for engaging young people in conversations that are rooted in their passions and interests.

Workshop Structure
In-Person: half day or breakout session at your location (up to 4 hours)
Virtual: two 1 hour and 45 minute workshops (up to 3.5 hours)
